http://www.xpweekly.com/share/xpweekly/0241/life/20030402life0134/andy%20copy.jpg情歌圣手安迪威廉姆斯屹立歌坛超过六十个年头，他迷人的歌声感动了一代又一代的歌迷，无疑是最成功的歌坛常青树之一。早在8岁时，安迪威廉姆斯就和他的三个兄弟组成了'威廉姆斯四兄弟'演唱组开始了他的歌唱生涯。1955年在单飞三年后，安迪威廉姆斯签约Archie Bleyer's Cadence Records陆续推出的单曲'Canadian Sunset'、'Butterfly'等都在排行榜上取得了不俗的成绩。
1961年安迪威廉姆斯签约哥伦比亚（Sony）唱片，开始步入歌唱事业的全盛时期，1962年专辑'Moon River and Other Great Movie Themes'获得巨大成功，其中'Moon River（月亮河）'一曲更成为安迪威廉姆斯的代表曲目。紧接着的专辑'Days of Wine and Roses'更取得了专辑榜第一的排名。在整个六十年代中，安迪威廉姆斯共有9张专辑先后取得排行榜前十的佳绩。进入七十年代，安迪威廉姆斯依然火爆。特别在美国本土以外--英国他也取得了一系列的成功：1973年他的单曲'Solitaire'在英国排行榜取得了前十的排名，接着的两张专辑也获得了成功。进入八、九十年代，安迪威廉姆斯将主要的精力放在现场演唱上，世界各地的舞台上都留下了他的身影。他甚至拥有一座命名为'Moon River'的剧院。
难能可贵的是已经七十余岁高龄的安迪威廉姆斯至今仍活跃在歌唱舞台上，曾来到我国香港举办演唱会。为了向他致敬，特别发行了这张《月亮河金曲珍藏集》，这张双CD的精选集将安迪威廉姆斯历年金曲一网打尽，包括歌迷们最爱的'Moon River'(〈第凡内早餐〉主题曲)和'(Where Do I Begin)Love Story'（〈爱的故事〉主题曲），还收录有经典歌曲'Can't Take My Eyes Off You'、'Killing Me Softly With Her Song'及被罗比威廉姆斯和妮科基德曼翻唱的'Somethin' Stupid'等。
