class="">国际竞赛是世界园艺博览会的重要组成部分。在国际园艺生产者协会的指导下，由扬州世园会国际竞赛组委会负责组织实施，成立了扬州世园会评审委员会，包括总评审团和专项竞赛评审组。总评审团由国际园艺生产者协会主席伯纳德·欧斯特罗姆等7名中外专家组成，专项竞赛评审组由花卉园艺领域若干名国内专家组成。还成立了监督委员会，由中国花卉协会秘书处、江苏省花木协会和扬州市推荐的3名成员组成。评审工作全程接受监督委员会监督，评审结果经过评审委员会和监督委员会审核确认。
