2005年11月，身为Linkin Park（林肯公园）首脑及主唱之一的MC Mike Shinoda（麦克）化身为Fort Minor（黑暗堡垒），推出了其全新首张革命大碟“The rising tied”。

就这张说唱专辑本身，官方的介绍和评价几乎已经面面俱到，所以我不再作过多评价。在此，只想消除您一些误解，千万别认为“说唱纯粹是一堆节奏平淡无奇的堆砌”。实质上，说唱的词意往往比较深刻，暗含政治生活，人心百态。而且，挖掘说唱的歌词，您还能学到一大堆鲜灵活现的俚语呢。

强烈推荐专辑“The rising tied”中的三首曲子：“Remember the name”（非常纯粹悦耳的说唱）；“Believe me ”（相比节奏动人不少，而且歌词大意非常合胃）；“Where'd you go” 一连串惹人怜惜的声音让它有另一种耐人寻味的味道……

唱这“惹人怜惜”的女声Holly Brook来自美国的Wisconsin（威斯康星州）。她6岁起就开始登台演出，15岁时已经和母亲一起录制了3张民谣独立唱片，并组建了自己的第一支 Jazz乐队。 2003年她来到了Los Angeles寻求自己的音乐梦想，最终她出众的才华被着名的现代摇滚团体Linkin Park看中，将她签到了乐队自己的厂牌Machine Shop Recordings旗下。

2005年，“Where'd you go”在美国电台意外大热，Holly Brook这个优美的女声也开始得到了人们的关注。人们说她的声音给人一种似曾相识的感觉，不知是否可得到你的共鸣？
